AASC will again be running Lifesaving Courses at the pool for all interested club members and others in the community. Swim and Survive programs, Bronze and Bronze Star as well as award programs for the beginners will be offered. As well as being a lot of fun, students learn and practise water survival skills that give them skills and confidence and a better chance of surviving any dangerous situation they may find themselves in and around water.
All our programs are designed and accredited by the the Royal Lifesaving Society of Australia and participants are given medals and certificates from RLSSA when they complete the course.
Our instructors are experienced and examiners accredited with RLSSA.
We’ll also organise a Resuscitation course for anyone who would like to gain this qualification or renew theirs from last year. Any Bronze candidates need to sit this course too.
ALL THESE PROGRAMMES are FREE for all club members. This is possible because of the very generous support we receive from Ashfield Council for our Lifesaving programmes. We want to reach many more children and adults in the community as well so please encourage anyone you know who might be interested to come along on the first day or give me a ring or email. There is a small charge for non club members of $10 per course for Swim and Survive and Water Discovery and Awareness programs. (I need to confirm charges for the Resuscitation and Bronze courses.) Download flyers here
Swim and Survive and Water Discovery/Awareness programs will run for 5 weeks each Saturday between 8.45 and 9.45am starting on January 30th. There’ll be a sign on sheet at club in the 2 weeks before or you can ring or send me an email. We;ll organise Resuscitation and Bronze courses once we know who wants them.
I hope to see you and any interested friends in the program this year.

Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Jae at Ashfield Council and I look after Children’s Services.
Currently I am organising January School Holiday Program and wondering if you could do your Swim and Survive program for children aged 5-12 years. It will be a good opportunity for you to promote your club to the community. Please contact me on 9716 1844 or jaey@ashfield.nsw.gov.au and I will be eagerly waiting for your reply. Thank you very much.
Regards,
