As publicised earlier there will a quick Special General Meeting after the club meet on Saturday 17th October 2009.

2009-10 Season

The Club swims at the Ashfield Swimming Pool Complex, Elizabeth Street Ashfield between 7.00am and 8.45am on Saturday mornings.

It may be early but it is an invigorating and proven way to start the weekend in a positive and refreshing manner. You can do your exercise and have the rest of the weekend to do other things.

This will be our 48th consecutive season and the fun begins on Saturday 17th October 2009 and we welcome you to come down and join us.

Speedo Sprint Finals (1 March 2009)
Great placings to Katherina Lee (50mFS, 50mBR, 50mBK & 50mBF) and Kevin Lee (50mBR). Both recorded PB’s in all events and enjoyed their experiences at SOPAC (venue of the 2000 Olympics). Future Olympians? Only time will tell but we are proud of their performances thus far.

Sydney Harbour Swim Classic (1 March 2009)
In the beautiful waters of Sydney Harbour our intrepid members Karen Goldrick and Bruce Watson completed the course from the Opera House to Lady Macquarie’s Chair and back via Farm Cove and did themselves and the club proud.

Congratulations to Katherina, Kevin, Karen and Bruce.

Week 5 Club Championships Programme

The program for Week 5 Club Championships (14 Mar 09) has been posted including relay teams for 2x30m FS Final and 4x50m FS Mixed Final.

Individual Championship Events are 100mBF, 100mBK & 100mBR. The Race Secretary has agreed to accept all 3 100m events for the pointscore due to extenuating circumstances causing the 3 events to be held on the one day. Only three (3) club races will be counted for the pointscore.

4x50mFS Mixed Relay Finalists

The heats were held on Saturday 7 March 2009 and the competition was hot and exciting. The handicapper (for once) seemed to have got things right with all teams touching the wall in close succession. However only 6 teams can progress to the final and they are as follows:

Annual General Meeting Notice

Contrary to the Draft Calendar the Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday 28 March 2009 commencing at 8.30am in the club rooms. All positions are vacant and applications may be forwarded onto the Secretary over the next few weeks.
